Terms of Service

TalkRaise is an English learning platform: structured lessons and exercises, a conversational AI Teacher, and IELTS practice (mock) tests with AI-estimated band scores. It’s a study and practice tool, not a certified test, a school, or a substitute for professional instruction.

IELTS is a registered trademark of the British Council, IDP Education Ltd, and Cambridge Assessment English. TalkRaise is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the British Council, IDP, Cambridge Assessment English, or the official IELTS test in any way. Our IELTS mock tests are independently built practice material intended to resemble the real exam’s format; band-score estimates are generated by AI against public scoring guidance and are estimates only — not an official or certified score and not a guarantee of your result on the real exam.

You must be at least 16 years old to create a TalkRaise account. By signing up, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

You’re responsible for the accuracy of the information you give us and for keeping your password secure. You’re responsible for activity that happens under your account. Tell us right away at support@talkraise.com if you think your account has been compromised.

When using TalkRaise, you agree not to:

• Use the service for anything illegal, or submit content that’s illegal, abusive, or infringes someone else’s rights
• Try to bypass usage limits, scrape the service, or access it through anything other than the interface we provide
• Reverse-engineer, resell, or provide third-party access to the service without our written permission
• Attempt to disrupt or overload the service

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

You keep ownership of what you write and say to TalkRaise (your answers, writing submissions, and AI Teacher messages). By submitting it, you give us a limited license to process, store, and transmit it — including to our AI providers — solely to operate and improve the service for you.

Everything else — our lessons, exercises, branding, and software — belongs to TalkRaise. You may use it to learn, not to republish, redistribute, or build a competing product from it.

Feedback, corrections, explanations, and scores you receive are generated by AI models. They’re usually helpful but can occasionally be wrong, incomplete, or miss context a human teacher wouldn’t. Don’t treat AI feedback as professional, legal, medical, or certified educational advice, and don’t treat an estimated band score as your actual result on any official exam.

The core course is free to use, and TalkRaise Pro is an optional paid subscription. Pro’s price and what it includes are shown on the pricing page and in Settings before you subscribe. Payments are handled by our payment processor, Paddle, which is the merchant of record for the transaction — your card details are entered directly with Paddle and never pass through our servers. A Pro subscription renews automatically each billing period until you cancel; you can cancel any time from Settings, and you keep Pro access until the end of the period you’ve already paid for.

You can stop using TalkRaise and delete your account at any time from Settings → Danger Zone, which permanently removes your data as described in our Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms.

TalkRaise is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don’t guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will produce any particular learning outcome or exam result.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TalkRaise is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including reliance on AI-generated feedback or scores. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us, if any, in the 12 months before the claim.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

We may update these Terms as TalkRaise changes. We’ll update the effective date above when we do, and for material changes we’ll make a reasonable effort to notify you directly. Continuing to use TalkRaise after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
